When I moved to the Seattle area, one of the things I missed most was having a HomeGoods nearby. I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a store here—so for a while I was driving three hours one way to shop in Portland. It was a long trip, but sometimes necessary for the finds and style I loved.
We do have a nearby TJ Maxx that carries home items, and I appreciate it. Still, a full 20,000-square-foot HomeGoods offers a truly different experience: a vast selection of affordable, stylish accessories, lamps, rugs, furniture, and many unique home items you won’t easily find elsewhere.
Over the years I’ve filled my home with lovely pieces from HomeGoods. I missed shopping there regularly—just thinking about it made me a little teary. But the wait is over: things are finally changing in Seattle.
This is a month of dreams coming true. In one week HomeGoods is opening not one but two stores in the Seattle area—one in Federal Way and one in Lynnwood—both opening on June 24. Seattle shoppers, rejoice! This is great news for anyone who loves refreshing their home without breaking the bank.
The timing is perfect for me as I’m deep into redecorating mode and can’t wait to be among the first through the doors. I may be overly excited—I’ll probably rush straight to the lamp aisle—but I’m eager to see the new inventory and bring home pieces that refresh the space.
