Vintage Bathroom Accents: Timeless Ideas to Update Your Space

Please welcome my special guest and good blogging friend, Heather Bullard! She has a beautiful blog and has recently relaunched her online boutique — if you haven’t visited her yet, you’ll enjoy it.

Heather brings warmth and thoughtful style to everything she does. I’m delighted to share her post on The Inspired Room today.

Vintage bathroom accessories

One of the quickest ways to add character and charm to any room is to incorporate vintage accessories. These pieces bring a distinctive personality that modern furnishings often can’t replicate, creating a cozy, well-lived-in atmosphere.

In one of my bathrooms I placed a small painted table topped with a rattan suitcase for discreet storage of necessities. I grouped an antique vase, collected bottles and several ironstone pieces to hold soap and jewelry, creating an authentic, layered vignette.

An old, worn carpenter’s box works perfectly beside the tub to hold fresh washcloths and a few collected seashells. Nearby, an antique metal soap dish stores handmade glycerin soap and a wooden nail brush, while a small statue-vase with a lovely rusty patina adds visual interest.

Wandering local flea markets and antique shops allows me to find unique accessories with history and soul. Shopping vintage not only yields one-of-a-kind finds but is also budget-friendly and eco-conscious — a satisfying choice for style and sustainability.

Thank you, Heather — I adore your accessories!
