I don’t consider myself a major collector, but I’m always on the lookout for vintage cottage decor, handmade pieces, and one-of-a-kind finds. I love items that tell a story and bring a collected, layered feeling to our home.
When I first spotted this vintage blue and white swan planter I knew it would be a lovely accent for our shelves—or for many other spots around the house. Its classic colors and graceful shape make it easy to mix into different vignettes.
People ask me often where I find accessories like this. My favorite discoveries come from local thrift and secondhand stores, where you stumble across unexpected treasures. I also enjoy shopping online, especially when it means supporting small businesses and independent sellers.
I tend to choose versatile pieces—items that can move from room to room as seasons change or as I refresh displays. The swan planter is a great example of something that works in multiple places and styles.
Below are some of my recent favorite finds, including other pieces from the same shop where I found the swan.
