House Tours
Greetings and welcome! I’m delighted to be part of the week-long Summer Tour of Homes — 25 inspiring homes in all. I’m hosting Day Three of the tour. If you’re just joining us, be sure to catch Day One and Day Two for more beautiful tours. All the tour listings appear at the end of this post.

Many thanks to Gina of Shabby Creek Cottage for organizing this event and inviting everyone to join in — and if you’d like to share your own summer tour, you’ll find the invitation on Gina’s blog this Friday.

If you’re new to The Inspired Room, welcome! After nearly six years of blogging, I still cherish the community of fellow home lovers who visit. Please leave a comment to say hello and tell me a little about yourself. If you’re a regular reader, I’ve added some new photos just for you.
Come on in, make yourself at home, and enjoy the house tour.
I’ve been in this house for a few years and recently completed a kitchen remodel that I’m very happy with. That said, the house still feels like a work in progress — I have many plans and more updates to come. A home is always evolving.
I enjoy decorating on a budget, reusing pieces I already own, shopping for affordable finds, and tackling occasional DIY projects. Here are some highlights from around the house.

You can find links to projects and decorating updates on my main house tour page and the Decorating 101 section. Feel free to browse, save favorites, and return later to explore more.
There is also a source page listing items from the kitchen, including colors and project details, and a full kitchen reveal if you want a closer look.

A new favorite in the kitchen is a large round cutting board from Boxwoods Furnishings — it’s huge and practical for food prep and styling.

I love the rustic round mirror in the kitchen — it adds warmth and character.

My “take action” message board helps keep paper clutter organized and priorities visible.

A DIY map wall adds vintage interest and personality to a hallway.

I haven’t shared many updates about our living/gathering room recently, so I’ll be posting more about the current layout and future plans soon.

We also updated the kids’ bathroom with color and board-and-batten detailing for a fresh look.

We refreshed the front door to create a more welcoming entry — small changes can have big impact.

I’m a big fan of outdoor rooms and small indoor/outdoor gardens — they extend living space and bring the outdoors in.
And most importantly, our home is full of joy thanks to our delightful pups.

We recently welcomed a new little sister for Jack named Lily — a smaller Australian Labradoodle who has already stolen our hearts. She’ll get a proper introduction on the blog this weekend with photos and videos. Jack will be sharing his adventures on his dog blog and social pages soon.
Thanks so much for visiting today! You can find more detailed posts for many of these rooms on the House Tour page or the Decorating 101 series.

Come back again soon!
Please be sure to visit all the beautiful homes on this tour. The stops before and after mine include The DIY Showoff and The Shabby Nest — enjoy exploring each unique space.
