We’ve been busy updating the exterior of our home and getting ready for our first summer here. Aside from enjoying the nearby water and beach, we’re focusing on the yard and front porch. Today we cleaned the roof and gutters and started adding some new touches, like hanging railing planters on the porch. I’ll share photos once they’re planted—I’m really excited about how they’ll look. We picked up a set of two railing planters so we could do both sides of the porch affordably.
I also added a cheerful doormat for summer that instantly brightened the entry. It was a great clearance find and still looks like a good deal. Below I’ve shared a collection of doormats I love in case you’re shopping for something similar for your home.

PS—I can’t stop buying faux peonies because they’re so pretty and budget friendly. I recently added white faux peonies to go with the pink stems I already had. Since I don’t have real peonies in the yard yet, these faux blooms help bring a summer vibe indoors without the maintenance.
