II hope you had a lovely weekend. We spent ours helping my daughter move and bringing Bella, our new puppy, to her new home so she could begin that next chapter. Having a puppy in the house for the last few weeks was busy — and sweet — and I admit I felt a little sad when she left. I already miss her, and I think Lily does too. Jack, on the other hand, is probably relieved she isn’t nipping at his heels. It’s nice to be able to send her home and step into the role of proud grandma.
With the weekend full of activity, I didn’t get to tackle projects around my own house. But the sun came out today, so I decided to squeeze in a small spring refresh in the kitchen.
It’s been a while since I refreshed my shelves, and it’s one of my favorite seasonal rituals. I enjoy taking a few items down, rearranging, and seeing what feels fresh. No big shopping trips or major changes — just moving things around, pulling a few pieces from other rooms, and letting whatever sparks joy guide the layout. Give me shelves, books, and dishes and I can happily lose myself for hours. These small, simple updates are what keep my home feeling inspired.
What spring refresh have you been working on lately?
Did you catch my air plant post? I moved the air plant to these shelves just for fun. Here are a couple more posts in my Spring Fling series: Spring in the entry and Spring Decorating in the Bedroom.
