The sun has finally been shining the past few days, and it’s been wonderful. We’ve enjoyed unusually pleasant weather this winter. While many places are still buried in snow, we hardly saw a flake here. The Pacific Northwest feels like a well-kept secret: despite frequent rain, our climate is generally mild year-round, so we don’t often experience heavy snow in winter or oppressive heat in summer. I’m grateful for that.
Sunny days make everything feel brighter and more cheerful. Last week I popped into Trader Joe’s for a couple of items and came home with a cart full of flowers—I simply couldn’t resist. I spent the afternoon arranging small bouquets around the house, and the fresh blooms convinced me that spring truly is on its way. I’m looking forward to spending more time outside and tending to the yard again.
Happy Monday, friends. I hope a little spring sunshine finds its way to your corner of the world, too.
