Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator and AddWash Washer/Dryer Guide

Samsung FamilyHub Refrigerator

One of the things I’m most excited about as I plan our remodel is choosing new appliances. I haven’t replaced appliances in years—when we remodeled our last kitchen I kept the ones we already had—so this time around I’m enjoying the process of researching what’s available. It’s been fun to discover the innovations manufacturers are offering.

CES 2016 - The Inspired Room

A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to attend the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, my first visit to the city. CES is a major venue for new technology, and I was invited to attend with Samsung as one of their brand ambassadors. It was a great opportunity to see their latest appliances up close and learn what they offer.

Today I’ll introduce two Samsung appliances that stood out to me: the Family Hub refrigerator and the AddWash washing machine. Both show how much appliance design has advanced since I last shopped. These models bring features that could genuinely simplify day-to-day family life and improve efficiency.

Family Hub Refrigerator by Samsung - Touch Screen

The Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator combines traditional refrigeration with an integrated family organizing center. With a busy household and a growing business, I appreciate tools that help keep schedules and tasks coordinated. While I still use a wall command center and paper notebooks sometimes, electronic calendars and shared digital tools are essential for color-coding schedules, setting reminders and keeping everyone on the same page.

Having a central, visible screen on the fridge means the whole family can quickly see schedules, notes and reminders. The Family Hub provides practical functions that can save time and reduce stress, while keeping family members connected. It also includes flexible storage features, such as a FlexZone compartment that can switch between refrigerator and freezer modes depending on your needs—an especially clever option when you need temporary extra freezer or fridge space.

I was impressed by how many useful features the Family Hub brings to everyday routines. It’s an appliance designed to fit modern family life by combining organization, communication and adaptable storage in one unit.

The New Samsung AddWash Washing Machine

The Samsung AddWash washing machine also caught my attention. I first mentioned this model a few months ago, and at CES I finally saw it working in person. Front-loading machines are efficient, but they can be inconvenient if you realize you forgot an item once the cycle has started. AddWash addresses that problem by incorporating a small secondary door in the front, allowing you to add a stray sock, a towel, or delicate items mid-cycle without interrupting the wash.

The AddWash design is a practical improvement that enhances the convenience of front-load washers, making laundry routines smoother and reducing the need to rewash items or wait for another cycle.

Hope you enjoyed our sneak peek! I can’t wait to share more plans for our upcoming kitchen remodel, including cabinet colors, counter and layout ideas!

I am thrilled to be a brand ambassador for Samsung Home Appliances and this post was created as part of my partnership. My experiences and opinions are my own.
