So, I’m slipping in with a quick kitchen progress update. I promise I’m not keeping anything from you—this time I even used my real camera instead of my phone to get better photos for the update.
You guys: the seventh attempt at the window trim finally worked.
It still needs to be painted white, but honestly, I think it’s going to be really cute.
- If you missed the whole window trim saga, you can catch up on the background and earlier attempts.
- There’s also a kitchen design board and source list that shows the overall plan and the pieces we’re using.
This update is short and sweet because sometimes the most satisfying progress is the quiet kind—you realize a detail finally fits and the room starts to feel more finished. The trim needed multiple tweaks to get the proportions and profiles right, and while it was a small part of the whole project, getting it right made a huge difference in the way the window feels in the space.
Next steps are simple: a coat of white paint to match the rest of the trim and a final inspection for any touch-ups. After that, we’ll be moving on to finishing other details that pull the whole kitchen together. I’m excited to share more photos once the paint is dry and the room feels cohesive.
Thanks for sticking with the updates. Small victories like this are worth celebrating—especially when they improve both the look and the mood of the room. I’ll be back with another progress report once the trim is painted and the next phase is underway.
