Last year I focused on updating and organizing my home. It was a season of messy projects, many decisions, and frequent furniture rearranging. Even so, I’m truly glad I put in the work. Now we’re finally enjoying a more functional, comfortable space — it was worth the effort. That house pictured at the top isn’t mine, though I wish it were; it comes from a Drive By on San Juan Island.
The kitchen reveal hasn’t been posted yet — we’re just waiting on a few finishing touches. If you happen to see my husband, please remind him we still need to hang the blinds so I can take the final photos. I’ve been trying not to nag, but I’m excited to share the finished space.
This year I don’t plan to tackle such large projects, but I do have several home improvement ideas I’m eager to work on. Over time I’ve been weighing options and letting ideas settle, and now I’ve settled on a few priorities — plus a couple of fresh ideas that popped up this week. Sometimes it pays to be deliberate and take time to decide what you truly need and want.
If you’re thinking about refreshing your home this year, I’ve written two posts with practical tips to help you love your space inside and out. One covers general rejuvenation ideas and the other focuses on curb appeal. Follow the links below to read them and get inspired.
