HHello, friends! Thanks for your patience while I’ve been juggling a few extra projects and haven’t posted as often as I’d like. I usually keep busy, but lately things have been a bit more hectic than usual. (If you missed my post yesterday about creating continuity in your home decor style, you can find it on my previous post.)
Here’s a quick update on what I’ve been working on.
I have a new book manuscript due in just a couple of weeks — I can’t wait to share more; I think it’s going to be one of my favorites.
At the same time, I’m preparing a new book launch. Simple Organizing will be out soon, so it’s been a busy season juggling writing and a release at once.
We also have several exciting projects around the house, and I hope to share a spring update with you soon.
Outdoor work is moving forward, too. I’m looking forward to spring and plan to share several outdoor projects this year. There’s something completely new in our backyard that will be finished soon, and we’re excited to show it off.
We’re finally getting a new gate for our side yard. That particular area has been a very long project — we’ve been waiting two years to complete it. For now, the temporary setup has been quite the sight.

Just for fun, here’s the view our neighbors have enjoyed for the past year. Is it an avant-garde gate design or a dog barricade? Either way, it’s been entertaining.
On a brighter note, we removed the blue fitted sheet from my son’s window — a small victory I’m happy about. We installed new shutters and they look fantastic. I’ll share photos soon, along with my bedroom makeover; my new bed arrived and I love it.

This year we’re launching a few of our own home products. The first pieces are two rugs created with Dash & Albert / Annie Selke. We received a sample of the striped rug with Swiss cross trim and are thrilled with how it looks (excuse the rolled edge — I was too excited to wait for it to fully relax).
Your votes during the contest helped make this collaboration possible, and I’m so grateful. I’ve admired Dash & Albert rugs for years, so this partnership feels like a dream come true.

Above was our Photoshop mockup for the competition; it’s pretty close to the actual rug.
The real rug!

Both rugs will be available for purchase soon. I’ll share details as they become available.
I hope you’re having a great week. Family is visiting for Easter, so I’m doing some spring cleaning and will be photographing my master bedroom makeover this week. I can’t wait to show you how it turned out.
