Master Bedroom Bedding Trends: Results From Our Reader Poll

Quite some time ago we explored whether readers liked the “unmade bed” look. It sparked a lively conversation, and if you missed it, feel free to check it out.

Today I’d like to keep the conversation going with a fresh question about bedding. I’m curious about your preferences and routines when it comes to sheets and linens.

Do you have a favorite brand or a preferred thread count for sheets?

Please share your favorites and why you like them.

While we’re on the topic, tell me about the types of bedding you use across the seasons. Do you switch to flannel in winter and something cooler like percale or cotton sateen in summer? Do you use satin or linen for warm months, or stick with cotton year-round? Some people choose different sheets to suit their mood — do you mix and match pillowcases, shams, or duvet covers to change the look of your bed?

How many people keep only one set of sheets that they wash and put back on immediately, and how many have multiple sets to rotate? Do you launder sheets weekly, bi-weekly, or on another schedule?

And finally, do you iron your sheets? Some people love the crisp, pressed look while others prefer the relaxed, lived-in texture.

I’m excited to hear your thoughts — tell us which sheets you reach for and how you care for them.
