Hi friends, happy Friday! As June slips by (how did that happen?), I wanted to pop in with a quick update about what I’ve been doing lately and some places I’ve been around the web. It’s been a busy and joyful month, and I’m excited to share a few highlights and links to things that made me smile.

Above are a few of my Instagrams from this month. There’s a small sneak peek of my secret garden—it isn’t finished yet, but I’m getting there and will give a proper garden tour when it’s complete. I love sharing little glimpses of daily life and projects as they unfold.

We received the sweetest surprise from our wonderful publishing team at Harvest House: a framed copy of Love the Home You Have with the New York Times Best Seller announcement. It was such a thoughtful gift, and I hung it in my office so I can see it each morning as I start the day. If you haven’t read the book yet, it makes a lovely summer read and a gentle reminder to appreciate the home you have.

My son recently celebrated his birthday, and the milestone inspired a tender moment when I read a post titled “Eighteen Summers” on (in)Courage. It was a beautiful reminder of how quickly time passes and how precious everyday moments with family are. Birthdays often make me pause and be grateful for the small traditions and memories we build together.
I also did a brief radio interview about the book. If you’re curious, you can listen to the segment—it’s a short conversation about the book’s heart and why home matters to so many of us.

My husband and I escaped for a two-day getaway to Port Townsend last week. It was refreshing to step away, explore a charming town, and come home recharged. I took plenty of photos and am planning an “Out to See” post and a few drive-by snapshots to share impressions of the area and some favorite spots we discovered.
Next week I’ll be launching the first Love Your Home Challenge of the summer. I loved seeing submissions from the last round—thank you for sharing your spaces and creativity. If you join in this summer, share your challenge photos on Home Love Stories or tag them on Instagram with the hashtag #lovethehomeyouhave. It’s always inspiring to see how small changes and intentional moments can lift a home and heart.
What are you up to this weekend?
Whether you’re planning a day trip, tackling a small home project, or simply savoring a little downtime, I hope you find something that brings you joy. I’ll be back soon with more updates, photos from Port Townsend, and the first Love Your Home Challenge post. Wishing you a lovely weekend!
