Inside My Christmas-Decorated Home: Festive Holiday House Tour

The Inspired Room Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to my Christmas house tour! I’m so happy you stopped by. If you’re new here: we’ve lived in this house for nearly five years and have been slowly making it our own. We recently finished a kitchen remodel and have been adding personal touches and character ever since. Although I love the charm of old homes, it’s been fun to make a newer builder house feel cozy and lived-in. If you’d like a full house story and timeline, you can find it in my house tale post. My regular home tour is also available if you want to explore more of how our house looks year-round.

I favor a coastal-rustic style with a touch of whimsy, but I keep our Christmas decorating simple. I sprinkle holiday touches around the house as inspiration strikes, and my décor evolves through the season so it always feels fresh. If you’re a regular reader you know I’m always fluffing, rearranging, and making small changes to keep things feeling new.

Come on in, look around, and stay as long as you like—the coffee is on!

I’ll be sharing more posts with details and tutorials that didn’t fit here—like our decorated front porch and a fun DIY project—so be sure to check back for more.

This post is already full of photos, so I’ll let you look around. I’ll return as I have time to add links to specific projects, related posts, or sources for items shown.

I put Jack and Lily out on the deck so they wouldn’t unravel the tree or jump on you during the tour. Naturally they proceeded to dig and make a mess—good thing they’re cute. Back inside to continue the tour; I’ll give them a bath later.

For tips on hanging garlands, wreaths, and stockings without nails, I share the methods I use for our mantel.

This year we used a birch branch found on a walk to hang ornaments and stockings from the mantel for a natural, rustic touch.
