If you missed the earlier announcement, I’ve set the date for the Holiday Home Tours hosted on The Inspired Room. This year I’m doing things a bit differently: I’ve teamed up with the wonderful hosts pictured above to bring a series of fresh holiday themes and link-up parties for you to enjoy.
Each host is presenting a unique holiday theme, and I’m excited to share their ideas with you. I love collaborating with other bloggers—introducing new voices and fresh inspiration—so I’m honored to participate in this group. You can follow the schedule and find links to the other hosts as they go live by visiting Cottage Magpie for updates.
The Holiday Home Tour begins on December 15th right here at The Inspired Room. That’s where you’ll come to link up and then hop over to visit the other decorated homes. If this will be your first link-up party and you’re unsure how it works, don’t worry—I’ll walk you through it when the time comes. December 15th will be here before we know it, so now is the moment to prepare to open our doors and welcome visitors for a festive tour of our homes.
Full disclosure: I haven’t finished decorating yet. Aside from my Woodland Tree and nativity scene, there’s still more to do. To complicate things, I’ll be out of town for a few days between now and the tour, which will limit the time I have to pull everything together. Still, Christmas will happen here—I’ll make it work and invite you in one way or another.
Thanks so much for planning to share the parties and for linking up and visiting!
QUESTION OF THE DAY: How does Christmas sneak up on us so fast?
Even when I start early—like I did with my tree—there are moments I suddenly feel behind. Maybe I take a break after getting started and lose track of time. Maybe I get distracted. Or maybe no one volunteered to dig the decorations out from under the house for me.
Time to stop talking and get moving: off the computer, turn on the Christmas music, and get festive! Inviting people over always motivates me to clean, too. I’ve got a few fun ideas brewing and I’m looking forward to getting into the holiday groove. Off I go!
