I wanted to stop by with a few quick updates and some happy news about Jack. First, thank you for the positive response to the tips on organizing children’s rooms — many of you asked to see the bus picture featured in that post more clearly, and I’ll share it in a follow-up soon. I don’t have the original art source, but it could make a great DIY project.

On Tuesday I’ll be revealing my finished kitchen and I’m thrilled to finally share the results. In the meantime, here’s some fun news about Jack and a humorous Easter snapshot to brighten your day.

You all adore Jack, and there’s a reason — he’s cheerful, affectionate, and brings smiles to many. I’m excited to share that he’s made it to the final round for the Pup of the Year contest. After several voting rounds, it comes down to two finalists: Jack and Hugo. It’s a tough match, but Jack’s grin is hard to resist.

Jack has been a true blessing to our family and spreads joy to many others. I would love for him to earn the title of Pup of the Year. You can cast your vote for him on Facebook — look for the “FINAL ROUND” image under his picture. Voting closes Sunday night.

Whether he wins or finishes runner-up, Jack is a wonderful companion and I’m grateful for the community of friends who support him. If you haven’t checked his blog recently, he’s posted several amusing stories. You can find his blog and his Facebook page to catch up on recent posts. One of my favorites is the story about an unfortunate event with his toy, Big Red — it’s hilarious and shows Jack’s personality perfectly.

Finally, a friend shared a funny Easter photo of her twins that I have permission to share. At first they were all smiles and waves to the Easter Bunny — until they realized they were sitting on his lap. Their expressions went from delighted to stunned in an instant, and the moment is priceless.

The kids are adorable, and when I posted the photo on Facebook it made a lot of people laugh. I’m sure one day those two little ones will laugh about it too; it’s one of those memorable family moments that becomes a story for years to come.

Wishing you a joyful Easter weekend with family, and a peaceful appreciation of the meaning and significance of that first Easter 2,000 years ago.
