It had been some time since I refreshed this side of our entry hall, but with fall in full swing I felt inspired to make a cozy and practical update. I’m excited to share the fall entry makeover I created.
This fall entry inspiration post is in partnership with Walmart

A quick visit to Walmart online provided everything I needed: autumn botanical artwork, a narrow storage bench with a hinged lid for hidden storage, and reversible plaid pillows to top the bench. The pieces were attractive and budget-friendly, so the makeover came together easily.
The change was simple, but I love the result.
To remind you where we started, here’s the entry hallway when we first moved in a few years ago.

And here it is now.

It’s come a long way and feels warmer and more welcoming.
I don’t always overhaul seasonal decor, but one of the joys of living in a home is creating when inspiration strikes. Make your space reflect what makes you happy to be there.

There are many ways to update a space for fall: adjust the color palette, layer textures, add organic seasonal elements, or swap in artwork and accessories inspired by the season. Nature offers endless ideas to draw from.
By observing seasonal beauty, you can select what speaks to you and introduce it into your home in thoughtful, creative ways.
This simple update gave my entryway a fresh, seasonal look while adding practical storage and warmth to everyday life.

The bench creates a convenient spot to tuck away shopping bags and items we need to grab on the way out the door, keeping the entry tidy and functional.
I enjoy letting my home evolve. Small updates add layers and purpose over time, and each change renews my enjoyment of the space.

I also like that this wall can be refreshed for any season simply by switching the artwork to whatever inspires me next.
Walmart Home offers many stylish pieces to improve both function and appearance. Shopping in one place made it easy to update the entry without overspending. Below are some finds I liked from my shopping session.

If you feel stuck about where to start with a project, begin with a clean slate and focus on function first, as we did with this hallway. Function provides a solid foundation, then you can layer in aesthetic updates as you find inspiration.
Sometimes a practical change is all that’s needed to feel at home again, even if it’s just for a season. Let rooms evolve at your own pace—there’s no need to rush or remain stuck.

A home can continue to evolve while remaining beautiful and functional in every season.
A quick creativity note: when I quiet the noise from the outside world—reducing social media, for example—I find I feel more inspired to create inside my home. Does that resonate with you?
Does your home evolve with the seasons, and do you enjoy that process?
