Once upon a time, in a bright spring dining room, there lived a puppy named Finnegan. He was the happiest, most cheerful pup you could imagine—tail wagging, eyes sparkling, always ready for fun.
One sunny afternoon, Finnegan discovered something on the dining table that caught his attention…
A paper towel.
It seemed to call to him, promising curiosity and adventure.
What Finnegan didn’t realize was that the paper towel was perched near…
An OPEN CAN OF WHITE PAINT.
As he gave the paper towel a gentle tug, gravity took over.
Slow motion: the paint can tipped, tilted—and SPLAT—white paint spilled across the brand-new Rifle Paper Co. rug that had just arrived. Oh no!
From across the room my husband saw it all unfold and sprang into action, but he was a moment too late. Paint everywhere. Puppy footprints. A lot of frantic cleaning later, there was a hush in the room.
Finnegan stood there, now sporting several stylish white spots on his fur.
And here’s the surprise—THE NEW RIFLE PAPER CO. RUG SURVIVED.

Not only is the rug lovely with its fresh spring colors and floral pattern, it also proved surprisingly resilient to a paint mishap and curious puppy antics.
I’m excited to celebrate the launch of the Rifle Paper Co. rug collection with Loloi Rugs—if this rug can survive Finnegan, it can survive a lot.
Highly recommended.
Finnegan gives it two (paint-speckled) paws up.
He still has a lot to learn about rug modeling, but I’m sure his big brother Jack the Goldendoodle, a true rug model extraordinaire, would be proud.

Paint Colors: Classic Light Buff (Sherwin Williams) and Beach Glass (Benjamin Moore)
