Fall is an especially busy season for our family, so establishing systems and organizing our schedules is essential. In the small hallway outside my kitchen I created a simple command center that has become indispensable. It’s a magnetic blackboard where we keep our most important papers, printed school and sports calendars, and anything that needs immediate attention.
Honestly, without this system I would revert to being that frazzled mom I used to be.
I became motivated to set up a board because I was “that mom.”
You know the type — the mom who returned her son to school three days before spring break ended.
The one who lost the school picture order form and missed ordering pictures two years running.
Yes. That mom.
If you worry you might become that mom this fall, a command center might save you a lot of stress.
Seriously — set one up now.
I’m over at The Decluttered Home today discussing one of my favorite topics: organization and command centers!
Come join the conversation and tell me if you are that mom.
