Evo 11 Conference

I spent this week at the Evo Conference in Park City, Utah, and it was an incredible experience. The event takes place at a resort, so it truly felt like a mini vacation. I stayed in a roomy accommodation that felt more like an apartment than a typical hotel room, and it was wonderful to have a quiet space and a bed all to myself.

One of the best parts of attending Evo is reconnecting with blogging friends and meeting new ones face to face. Every conference I go to expands my circle of close friends. These gatherings are a fantastic way to get to know the people behind the blogs — authentic, funny, and brilliant women who are a joy to be around. Some are longtime friends I’ve known for years, while others I finally met in person after connecting online.

I also loved meeting newer bloggers, like Mandi from Vintage Revivals, who is as talented and charming in person as she is online. The conference offered inspiring sessions and plenty of chances to learn from creative, fun people. I hope to share more photos of the lovely people I spent time with this weekend.

There are a few amusing stories from the trip — I’ll share more soon. You might spot some candid photos on my Facebook and Twitter feeds; these conference weekends can get a little wild in the best way, so don’t judge.

I head home late today, feeling refreshed and inspired.

Finally, don’t forget to vote every day for my Shabby Chic Dining Room design board (or any favorite board) to enter the Apartment Guide Your Picks. Your Place. Sweepstakes for a chance to win $10,000. Apartment Guide is sponsoring my trip to Evo, and it’s been great meeting their team in person.
