What’s your favorite style?

I find that naming your ideal decorating style helps create a clearer vision for how you want your home to look and feel.

Being able to describe what you love most makes decision-making much simpler.

Sometimes the style you admire in photos isn’t a perfect fit for your current home, and recognizing that can be incredibly useful.

Giving yourself permission to make a course correction or choose a more defined direction can be liberating.

I often feel torn between several styles because I love so many. During the fall and winter, when I’m in nesting mode, I can be dangerous in a decor shop (or even at home) without a few guiding principles.

Loving many styles doesn’t mean you must combine all of them in one space. I enjoy mixing elements, but I also try to set a few boundaries so my choices feel cohesive instead of haphazard.

You may pin endless images of one aesthetic on Pinterest, yet in daily life prefer something completely different. That’s perfectly fine—sometimes you simply appreciate how a style looks in photos even if it wouldn’t suit your home.

My home and style are always evolving, so I revisit what I love regularly to stay focused on creating a place I truly enjoy.

How would you describe YOUR favorite decorating style?

Don’t worry about official labels or keeping it brief—have fun with it!
