Displaying Small Trinkets and Treasures — Fall Decor Ideas (Day 10)

Glass Jar Displays via Miss Mustard Seed

I love the seasonal ritual of putting away lingering summer accessories and bringing out favorites for autumn. This weekend I’ve been doing a bit of fall nesting around the house, making small updates that help the space feel cozier. Little by little my home shifts toward a warmer fall and winter mood, and I’ve even started thinking ahead to Christmas — it may seem early, but I’m enjoying the preparations.

Tip: As you nest, look for creative ways to display and group a few of your fall, winter, or holiday pieces.

I adore the look of layered collections in glass jars. These jars from Miss Mustard Seed remind me of vintage glass lamps and feel like an easy project to try. Grouping small seasonal accents inside jars or contained displays helps create a focused vignette rather than scattered clutter. If you’re someone who worries about too many little items covering every surface, corralling them in jars or trays makes decorating feel intentional and tidy while still telling a charming story.

Happy fall nesting!
