Country Living
I know it’s summer, but I’m a year-round fan of beach houses. Whether it’s a stormy evening, a warm sunny afternoon, a midweek escape, a holiday or a long vacation day, beach houses always feel like the perfect place to be.
That’s why I bring beach-house touches into my own home. The relaxed, coastal atmosphere creates a daily sense of calm and vacation—exactly the mood I want to live in.
To me, “beach house” isn’t just a design style; it’s a feeling. It’s about creating a cozy, laid-back space that evokes time by the water. Since spending time near water is one of my favorite things, it’s no surprise I draw inspiration from coastal living.

My daughters and I just returned late last night from a trip to Utah. We weren’t near the ocean, and I missed that salty air—coming home left me inspired to share more beach-house ideas.
I missed you while we were away—are you still here?
I didn’t have time to blog during the trip, so I’m happy to be back. Even with all the social media options these days, this blog remains my favorite place to connect and chat about our shared love of home and design.
Have you visited any charming beach houses this summer? What are your favorite coastal towns?
