Before and After: Show Off Your Paint Color Transformations

In the past two years we’ve tackled a lot of painting projects: the living room, dining room, a bathroom, the hallway, and most recently my home office. This has truly been the year of painting for me, and my home is finally beginning to feel cohesive and finished.

The right paint colors change how a space looks and how it feels. Seeing before and after photos is one of the best parts of a project—it’s so satisfying to watch a room transform.

This summer we’ve worked on many areas: the kitchen, bedroom, a guest room, my kitchen nook, family room, powder room, pantry, entry, and another family room—plus smaller updates throughout the house. That collage above captures just a few of the spaces mid-project. It was chaotic at times, but the progress has been worth it.

Many of those “torn apart” or “in progress” rooms are now much closer to finished and looking pretty instead of messy. Perseverance pays off, and I’ll be sharing more before-and-after photos soon so you can see the full transformations.

I’m excited to show you the finished rooms because I know you enjoy these kinds of makeovers as much as I do. A fresh coat of paint and a clear plan can make a dramatic difference.

One site I write for, My Colortopia, recently launched a “Show Your Colors” gallery that features reader-submitted before-and-after photos. It’s a great place to celebrate your hard work and inspire others. When readers share their photos, others can view the transformations and find matching Glidden paint colors to recreate the looks.

I’ve been planning to upload my projects to the Show Your Colors gallery and I encourage you to share yours too. It’s rewarding to see how different colors and finishes come together, and the gallery is a helpful resource for anyone considering a paint project.

I have been sponsored by Glidden® brand paint to write this post, but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
