Once upon a time I spotted a gorgeous green garden stool at a flea market. I couldn’t believe my luck. I’d been searching for the right green accents for what felt like ages — something to add richness and depth to my color palette.
Sadly, that excitement turned to disappointment when my husband accidentally broke the dark green garden stool. He doesn’t often break things, but when he does, it’s usually one of my favorites. I also lost a beautiful turquoise textured lamp he knocked over — both pieces I still miss.
After that mishap I went back on the hunt for more green accessories. Finding the deep forest green I wanted has been harder than I expected, though it feels a little easier now that green is returning to home decor trends.

At home I’ve introduced green through botanical prints in the entry and by adding plants throughout the house. I’ve also brought in green velvet pillows, small ceramic bowls, and a muted green rug that I sometimes use in the kitchen. These pieces bring life and warmth without overpowering the room.
