SI’ve finally set the date for our fourth annual Fall Nesting Party! Yes, I admit this is a bit last-minute, but I’m just as excited as ever now that autumn is on its way. So, what are you planning for fall this year?
Keep in mind: fall nesting around here isn’t about being fully prepared for the season. It’s about getting into the mood for fall.
I like to let the seasons unfold slowly. I keep things simple for both you and me. No pressure—this isn’t a contest to see who can produce the most elaborate DIY. You won’t need a table saw to carve tiny wood pumpkins by Friday. Relax. Take your time.
Do at least one small thing to welcome fall: change a pillow cover, swap a candle, arrange a small centerpiece, revisit a project you loved last year, or plan something you want to try this season. Then link it up on Friday, over the weekend, or even next week. Sharing ideas helps everyone get inspired. If you don’t have a blog, share your idea on Facebook or leave a comment on Friday. Just join in—don’t be a lurker.
You can’t spend time at The Inspired Room this time of year without catching a little fall enthusiasm. I won’t let you leave unconverted—at least not without giving it my best shot. Converting summer lovers to fall fans is kind of my mission.
We’ll kick things off on Friday with the much-anticipated Fall Nesting Party, and starting October 1st we’ll dive into 31 days of holiday and seasonal inspiration to help you prepare for fall and the winter holidays. It’s going to be wonderful.

So: Friday—let’s get our fall on.
Full disclosure: I’ve already sampled a fall drink at Starbucks. I’m not as keen on the hot pumpkin spice latte as I am on gingerbread lattes or pumpkin scones, but the pumpkin frappuccino? Absolutely delicious—perfect for those in-between days when it’s neither summer nor full-on fall. There—now you want one. You’re welcome.
