From the very first day I started this blog, I planned to write a book. Instead, I began with posts—sharing ideas, experiences, and the heart of what I believe about making a home. After four years and a lot of writing, I finally put those ideas together into a book. The site for the book is NOTaDIYdiva.com.
This ebook is a labor of love. It gathers the core themes I’ve been sharing here into a shorter, thoughtfully organized format. The focus is simple: living authentically at home, the essence of The Inspired Room. Rather than brand-new material, the ebook presents the central message I’ve written about for years, now reorganized into an accessible ebook. You can find the disclosure on the book site.
If you’d like to show your kindred spirit for authentic living, feel free to use a button that links to the Authentic Living page on The Inspired Room.
I’ve been deeply encouraged by the support this message has received since the early days of my blog. Hearing from readers who resonate with the idea of authentic living has been humbling and motivating—and it’s given me the confidence to keep sharing.

Putting yourself out there is never easy. Writing on this blog feels familiar and safe because you, the readers, understand where I’m coming from. Still, releasing this message beyond the blog brings a vulnerability that feels like showing up to school in pajamas—you want to hide and hope no one laughs. Despite that discomfort, sharing this book feels important.

This ebook will be released on Tuesday — I’ll post an announcement that day. Many people contributed to making this book possible, and I’ll share more about that process later. For now, I could use your help: I’m new to ebook promotion and would appreciate any support spreading the word.
On Tuesday the ebook will be available as a PDF download from the NOT a DIY Diva website. I also plan to offer it on Amazon for Kindle in the near future.

How can you help?
Spread the word in whatever way feels comfortable for you. Here are a few easy ways to help:
- Like the new NOT a DIY Diva ebook Facebook page. Once you like the page you can share posts and updates with your friends.
- Pin the ebook website image to your Pinterest boards. There’s a Pin It button on the book homepage to make this quick and simple.
- Share the ebook on your blog. If you’d like to blog about the message on Tuesday, I can send an advance link so you can see the book first. I’m offering 50 free copies to bloggers who want to help promote the launch—just let me know and I’ll send a download link while supplies last.
If you’d like one of the free copies to share on your blog, please email my assistant—Lindsey—at [email protected] with SHARE EBOOK in the subject line and include your blog URL in the message. If you don’t hear back, it likely means we’ve already given out the 50 free copies; stay tuned on Tuesday for more giveaways.
- Sign up to be an affiliate. You can earn money by sharing the book—30% of each sale goes to affiliates.
- Tweet about the book if you use Twitter—every mention helps.
- Add a button to your blog. Several buttons are available on the book site for you to use.
Thanks so much for your support. I truly appreciate every share, like, pin, and kind word.
Are you going to Relevant Conference? I’m planning to attend, in part thanks to my sponsor Studio JRU. I’d love to meet you there—please introduce yourself if you’re coming. I’ll probably be the one feeling a little nervous and hiding in the bathroom, but I’d love to say hello!
