I love my home to smell inviting in every season.
I have little tolerance for unpleasant odors — it’s a personal deal breaker.
In spring and summer I prefer light, fresh fragrances like citrus, lemongrass, or jasmine.
My summer diffuser blend, inspired by Anthropologie, fills the house with a bright, airy scent that feels like a warm, sunny day.
For fall, though, I gravitate toward warm, cozy aromas — vanilla, cloves, cinnamon, and orange. To me, those notes capture the comfort of the season: floral freshness in spring and the smell of baking in autumn.
When I switched from candles to essential oils for health reasons, I started blending oils to recreate some of my favorite scents. One of my favorite fall candle fragrances was wonderfully cozy, and I’ve recreated a very similar version for the diffuser.
Sweet Vanilla Cinnamon Diffuser Blend
– A couple drops of Stress Away (vanilla and lime)
– 1 drop Cinnamon Bark
– 1 drop Nutmeg
Adjust the number of drops for larger rooms or a stronger aroma.
