With the festive season here, I wanted to share five recent Amazon purchases that I’ve been using for holiday decorating and gift ideas.

1. Candle Snuffer
I mostly use battery-operated candles, but I still enjoy the glow of real candles sometimes. Because I’m short, blowing out mantel candles can be tricky, so I picked up an inexpensive candle snuffer. It’s practical and looks charming on the mantel — a nice addition to a gift of real candles.
2. Shatterproof Clear Fillable Ornaments
With puppies and little ones at home, I wanted ornaments that wouldn’t shatter. I found clear, shatterproof ornaments with a small opening at the top that work well for stuffing with botanicals or moss. They’re easy to personalize and would make thoughtful, handmade-style gifts.
I’m planning a craft session to fill these — they’re quick to assemble and can be customized to match any color scheme.
3. Berry and Evergreen Branches
This year I added red berry branches to my greenery to give arrangements and wreaths a festive pop. I bought berries in different sizes and stems in several lengths so I can layer them into garlands and bouquets.
If you need very short stems for wreath accents or ornaments, small berry picks are great for twisting on and customizing projects. I also purchased evergreen branches and some dried eucalyptus stems to vary texture and scent.

I love these sweet frames with bow details. They’re perfect for family photos and make thoughtful gifts for moms and grandmas. I bought both an oval and a round frame to display favorite holiday pictures.

5. Paper Snowflake Garland
I bought delicate paper snowflake garlands that are light, compact, and already strung for easy hanging. They bring back memories of large paper snowflakes and are simple to drape across windows or mantels.
The garlands are lightweight and easy to store, and they add a whimsical touch to holiday decor — perfect for introducing a bit of wintry charm without taking up much space. My pup is curious about them too, so they’ve already started adding to the holiday excitement.
