Greetings, friends! How is your week going? I’ve hosted guests all week while preparing for MOVE #2. No, I’m not moving to a different house—I’m moving again into the same house we moved into in January.
Yes, it sounds a little crazy. I seem to take about six months to complete a move. Why do my moves always feel so complicated? Maybe moving is just complicated for everyone.
The good news: my Portland house has a sale pending, with a backup offer, which feels like a small miracle in this economy. That means I’m finally starting to move the rest of my belongings. Of course, a house sale isn’t final until it’s final, but I’m ready to bring my things home. It’s going to feel like Christmas here—sofas, chairs, accessories, and more.
Architectural Digest: Something’s Gotta Give
I’m already dreaming up ideas for the new house, and I’ll be sharing the progress here on the blog. I’ll ask for your input on a few design decisions and share inspiration photos as things evolve over the coming months.
Bear with me as I make a few more trips between Portland and Washington to consolidate everything into one place. My brain feels scattered, but hopefully I’ll be settled soon.
