For a house lover like me, exploring interesting homes is a favorite pastime. I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I do enjoy home makeover and renovation shows when I can. That’s one reason I include a video section on my blog — I watch these tours myself and want to share them with you.

Have you seen the DIY Network series Blog Cabin? Above is a short preview of this year’s renovated house featured on the show. It’s a cedar shake, tongue-and-groove coastal cottage originally built in the 1800s. There are also videos that showcase each room in detail (links below).

Fun note: if you act quickly you may still be able to enter to win the house via the sweepstakes (check the original site for current details).

From the show’s description: The Blog Cabin 2013 Giveaway winner will receive a fully renovated, circa-1800s coastal cottage located along North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. The home is offered fully furnished with two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and about 2,600 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor living space. The grand-prize package was valued at nearly $500,000.

Even if you miss the sweepstakes or don’t win, the videos remain inspiring and enjoyable. Today’s post features a 90-second preview, and you can watch full room tours through the links below. Grab a snack, sit back, and enjoy the house tour!
