DIY Monogram Wreath Workshop + Giveaway — Create Your Own Personalized Wreath

DIY Monogram Wreath

Y‘all — spoken in my best, slightly embarrassed drawl — I’m not naturally handy and power tools make me nervous. Still, a chance to try something new came along and I decided to say yes. I could have declined, panicked, or found someone else to do the work, but I’ve learned that trying scary projects is a great way to grow, learn new skills, and enjoy a real sense of accomplishment.

The Home Depot invited me to take part in a Do-It-Herself Workshop and asked me to design and build my own monogram wreath — with power tools. I admitted I wasn’t very experienced, but they were confident and encouraged me to go for it. They even invited me to co-lead a workshop near me, which is both exciting and a little terrifying.

The Home Depot has expanded its Do-It-Herself Workshops to more stores, and they believe these hands-on sessions can help almost anyone, even hesitant beginners like me. To make the project even more public, I’ll be creating a wreath that I’ll share online with readers.

Can I do this?

Will my monogram look anything like the letter it’s supposed to be?

Will I survive without injury and keep blogging?

Stay tuned to find out.

You can register online for a local Do-It-Herself Workshop at your nearby Home Depot store. If you’re in the Seattle area, I’ll co-host a workshop on November 21 at 6:30 PM PST at the Tacoma store (Store 4701, 7050 Tacoma Mall Blvd, Tacoma, WA 98409). Come make a monogram wreath with me — if I can do it, you can too.
