If there’s one thing I love as much as a beautiful kitchen, it’s finding new little things to fill it with. I collect striped towels, rustic wooden spoons, breadboards and a growing assortment of coffee mugs. Pretty cookbooks are my weakness — I often buy them for the cover alone. Yes, I enjoy the inspiration to cook this time of year, but mostly I admit I bought that cookbook because the cover charmed me. It’s by a Pacific Northwest author who also owns a restaurant, and the title felt right up my alley. And, of course, pumpkin butter is always a must.
