Meet Leo and Discover Our Next Project

Street of Dreams in Portland - The Inspired Room

SIt was a busy, exciting weekend for our family. I wanted to share the first batch of photos from my favorite homes at this year’s Street of Dreams. I made a quick trip to tour several houses last week and took hundreds of pictures. I’ll be sharing more details and close-ups in upcoming posts—there are so many inspiring ideas. You can see a sneak peek above.

Leo the Labradoodle - The Inspired Room Pup

Along with the house inspiration, I want to introduce Leo, an 11-week-old labradoodle who recently joined our family through a wonderful turn of events. He’s a precious, mellow little guy and we feel so blessed to have him.

Have you ever seen such a sweet face?

Leo and Bella - The Inspired Room

We brought him home this weekend so he could meet his “big sister” Bella. His owners are my daughter Kylee and her husband Lance, and while Bella seemed pleased, she may not realize Leo will be part of the family for good.

Jack and Lily haven’t officially met him yet, but I know they’ll be thrilled to welcome a new “cousin” to romp and play with. I can already picture the fun these four dogs will have together.

Leo is very sweet, calm, and affectionate. He slept quietly on the ride home and even slept through the night, which made everyone very happy.

He already seems right at home.

I’ll be sharing more about the antics of all four pups here on the blog. You can follow Jack on his Facebook page for regular updates from his perspective. Since we have several pups now, we set up a dedicated Instagram account so we can easily share their adventures at home and on the go.

If you’d like to follow along, you can find the dogs on Instagram at @DoodlesAtHome and on Facebook at DoodlesAtHome.

Speaking of adventures at home, besides ALL THE PUPS, this coming week is going to bring big changes around here.

After a long wait, we finally moved forward with a project we’ve been planning for months.

Painted White Brick

This week our house is being pressure washed, and next week we will be living in a white brick house. I can’t believe it’s finally happening, and I’m excited to see the transformation unfold.

PS. If you had trouble accessing the blog recently, I’m sorry for the inconvenience—the site experienced downtime but should now be back up and running.
