Reader Redesign: A Sleek New Glossy Look Revealed

When we featured Lindsay’s kitchen makeover as a Reader Redesign last October, we never expected the team at Kitchen Makeovers — a Better Homes & Gardens special interest publication — to get in touch. They saw Lindsay’s before-and-after photos on our blog and wanted to feature her kitchen. We were thrilled, and Lindsay — who had just welcomed a newborn a few weeks earlier — was excited about the opportunity.

A few months later, Lindsay’s budget-friendly kitchen makeover appeared in the Spring 2009 issue, in a column called Do It For Less. True to the column’s name, Lindsay achieved a fresh, high-end look for very little money — she spent only about $50 on primer and paint, and the renewed cabinets look fantastic.

You can click the image above to enlarge it and read all the details. If you want the full editorial experience, pick up a copy of the issue — it’s filled with other inspiring makeovers and design ideas. Congratulations to Lindsay on both the beautiful kitchen and the new baby!

There’s more good news: the editors at Kitchen Makeovers reached out for information about several more Reader Redesign projects, and they’ve already scheduled another reader’s kitchen for an upcoming Winter issue. Stay tuned for more features.
