Painted Front Doors
I love colorful front doors. They add personality and curb appeal with a simple, relatively low-cost change.
Do you?
This photo shows my old front porch and door. Over the years the porch decor has changed, but the door stayed the same. The exterior is natural wood while the interior side is painted black.
I’m not entirely happy with the existing wood tone, so I’m considering painting it. Black is an option, but I’m also tempted by a cheerful color. I haven’t decided yet.
I’d love to paint or stain my whole house a soft gray with white trim like this lovely house of my dreams.
Realistically, repainting the entire house isn’t happening this year, so I’m focusing on what I can change now.
That might mean finally painting the front door, the surrounding trim, and the sidelights.
