Cozy Fall Recipes and Top Seasonal Cookbooks to Try

It’s been gray, rainy, and chilly the last few days, and I even turned the heat on yesterday. That can only mean one thing — fall is officially here. With the change in weather, I’m already craving all the warm, comforting meals I haven’t made in a while.

My daughters and I are planning to start weekly family meal-prep days. We’ll gather at my house to cook a large batch of soup or prepare other wholesome meals to share and take home. Have you ever organized a group cooking day like that?

We think it will be a fun family tradition and a practical one too: everyone goes home with a pot of soup or ready-to-use ingredients for the week. It’s a simple way to save time, eat healthier, and enjoy each other’s company.

I’ve been browsing our cookbooks for inspiration and found several that look perfect for fall. Some lean healthier than others, but they all promise cozy seasonal flavors:

Bowls of Goodness

Natural: Wholesome Recipes for Pure Nourishment

Scandinavian Comfort Food

Easy Soups from Scratch with Quick Breads to Match

Purely Pumpkin

Kale and Caramel (I just ordered this one!)

Love Your Lunches

And a few more of our favorites that are both beautiful to display and useful in the kitchen.

Happy Fall Nesting!
