Today marks the seventh anniversary of my first book, Love the Home You Have, and I’m delighted to be preparing for the release of my eleventh and newest book, A Lovely Life, which will be published in May. Time truly flies. As a blogger at The Inspired Room since 2007, I remain passionate about encouraging people to love and care for their homes.
On this anniversary I want to introduce you to A Lovely Life. I see it as a kind of companion to Love the Home You Have — a continuation of themes I’ve explored across my books. If you appreciated the message of Love the Home You Have, I think A Lovely Life will resonate with you as well.

In an era when social media often sets unrealistic standards, both Love the Home You Have and A Lovely Life offer an attainable, meaningful approach to caring for your home. These books focus on practical, timeless ideas that help you create a comforting, welcoming space you can enjoy day after day.

Love the Home You Have became a New York Times Bestseller because so many people long to feel content where they live, even if their houses aren’t perfect. That same desire to find comfort and beauty in everyday life inspired A Lovely Life.
A Lovely Life guides you through creating a home and life you love, season by season, with thoughtful, practical suggestions. The book is a beautifully photographed hardback, but it’s more than a pretty object to display: it also contains encouragement, useful tips, and simple ideas to help you notice beauty and appreciate ordinary moments.
Throughout A Lovely Life you’ll find guidance for developing seasonal rhythms and habits that nurture authenticity, peace, and contentment in your home across the year.

You can pre-order A Lovely Life before May 17 (you won’t be charged until it ships) and qualify for special pre-order bonuses such as a downloadable seasonal planner and botanical art prints. After ordering your copy, visit the publisher’s preorder page to claim your bonuses.

If you haven’t explored the books I’ve written over the years, you can find them collected on my books page. I hope they offer encouragement and inspiration for making your home a place you love.

I deeply appreciate your support over the years and enjoy hearing from readers. Our community of fellow home-lovers means so much to me, and I’m grateful to share this home-creating journey with you.
