Anthropologie
As many of you know, I love to travel — even short trips to favorite local shops feel like mini getaways. A visit to Anthropologie always feels inspiring: the displays, colors and textures ignite ideas and encourage me to see familiar items in fresh ways.
When I explore a favorite store I don’t only look at merchandise. I take note of the furniture used for displays, how shelves are arranged, the lighting and the overall atmosphere. Paying attention to these details teaches you a lot about composition and can spark your own creative choices at home.
This visit I was especially taken with their display cabinets and the shop’s wood floors. The flooring had a lovely variation of tones and grain that reminded me of my own — a detail I’ll be sharing more about soon.
Seeing creative room compositions encourages me to step beyond the predictable and try new combinations. It’s easy to follow trends, so exposure to varied styling keeps my own approach feeling fresh and personal.

I’m also a bit obsessed with the way the store smells. I always spend time sampling their candles — yes, I sniff each jar — and it’s one of those small pleasures that makes the visit memorable. I nearly brought home a green jar candle to join another at home, but resisted — maybe next time.
I admire Anthropologie’s inventive ways of displaying everyday items like dishes, mugs and towels. Simple objects become decorative vignettes when arranged thoughtfully.
I appreciate the small details tucked into every corner of the store — each one a little idea you can borrow for your own home.
It was another inspiring visit to one of the most creative home stores around. I’m glad you joined me for this little tour.
