The sun has been shining the past few days, and it feels wonderful. We’ve enjoyed unusually pleasant weather this winter. I know many of you are still coping with snow, while we hardly saw any here. The Pacific Northwest really is a quiet treasure—although we get our share of rain, our climate stays mild year-round, so we rarely face deep winter snows or blistering summer heat. I can’t complain.
Everything seems brighter when the sun comes out, doesn’t it? Last week I popped into Trader Joe’s for a couple of items and left with a cart full of flowers—I simply couldn’t resist. Back home, I wandered around arranging small bouquets in different rooms, and suddenly I was certain spring is just around the corner. I’m looking forward to spending more time outside and tending the yard again.
