Home Goals Printable 2014 Worksheet

Hi, Lovelies! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

It’s hard to believe January is nearly over. I lost a few weeks recovering from the flu, and only just realized I hadn’t posted the 2014 Home Goals printable yet. I shared one for 2013 and updated it for this year so you can use it to focus or get ideas for projects around the house.

It’s not too late to set home goals and make a plan. I’ve outlined my organizational intentions for the year in previous posts and will continue to share progress as I go. A printable worksheet can be a helpful way to clarify priorities and keep momentum.

I’ve been juggling lots of ideas for projects, but I also feel calm about what I don’t need to do. It’s easy to get swept up in a frenzy of tasks or compare ourselves to experts and feel like we’re falling behind. Instead, I try to find balance: do what genuinely improves our home and life when time and budget allow, but avoid obsessing so much that we lose sight of why we create a home—to nurture and enjoy time with the people who live and visit there.

Right now I’m in a strong “keep things simple” mindset. The flu reminded me how nice it can be to rest and enjoy family time on the couch, watching favorite shows together. Those quiet, cozy moments are part of what makes a home a home.

This week I’m refreshing my family room now that the holiday decor is put away—I’m ready for a bit of spring and light at home. We’ve been lucky with mild weather here in Washington, so I’m able to focus on small updates without battling snow.

I’ve also reorganized my desk and set up a file drawer system for monthly paperwork. It feels great to have a simpler, more orderly system; I’ll share that project soon with photos and details.
