Remember when I entered the Annie Selke Dash & Albert rug design competition a few years ago? It feels like ages ago, but the experience is still a highlight for me. Two of my designs were chosen for production after readers voted for their favorites, and I’m so grateful for the support that made this possible.
Having my designs produced by a brand I’ve admired for years has been thrilling. The rugs are finally here, and seeing them in person is even better than I imagined. I couldn’t wait to open the packages and take a few photos as soon as they arrived.
The two rugs are the Inspired Stripe and the Nova. Both designs are available in multiple sizes and are crafted with the quality you expect from Dash & Albert. The Nova is hand-knotted wool with a rich texture, and the Inspired Stripe is woven cotton with a casual, lived-in feel.

Nova Rug (hand-knotted wool)

Nova Rug
The Nova rug is beautifully made. Its hand-knotted wool construction gives it depth and durability, while the neutral palette allows it to anchor a room without competing with other decor. It looks elegant in a living space, cozy in a bedroom, and polished in a dining area.

Inspired Stripe Rug (woven cotton)

Inspired Stripe Rug
The Inspired Stripe has a relaxed, timeless appeal. The woven cotton adds casual comfort and a subtle texture that works well in family rooms, entryways, or layered beneath furniture. I love how the stripe pattern brings movement without overwhelming the space.
I’ll be doing a more formal photoshoot of these rugs in my home soon. My goldendoodle Jack was such a good sport during the design contest that I’m sure he’ll want to join the pictures for the full reveal. He takes rug modeling very seriously, and it’s too fun to leave him out.
If you get either of these rugs for your home, I would LOVE to know!
