Martha Stewart Decoupaged Easter Egg

I’ve always thought I should be able to decorate delicate Easter eggs the way Martha Stewart does. Her decoupaged eggs are elegant and timeless, and she even provides a decoupage tutorial for anyone who wants to try the technique.

My attempt at a sheet music egg for spring.

This week I tried “mod podging” a sheet music egg for spring. Working with thin paper around a curved surface proved trickier than I expected—my fingers kept sticking to the paper, and it took patience to smooth the music into position without tearing it. The result was charming, but the process revealed I have room to improve my technique.

If you’d like to try this at home, use lightweight paper, thin coats of decoupage medium, and take your time easing the paper into place. Small scissors or a craft knife help trim edges, and a soft brush or fingertip can smooth seams gently.

Do you Mod Podge? I’d love tips on better technique!
