Greetings! A quick update: the round window that was scheduled for delivery last week didn’t arrive because it wasn’t on the truck, so installation was delayed. I was disappointed, but we’re expecting it this week. Renovation timelines rarely go exactly as planned, and this kitchen project has had more delays than I hoped.
That said, delays often lead to better outcomes. We’ve already seen improvements come from taking extra time, and I expect the next phase of the kitchen to bring some exciting, visible progress. I’ll share more details as things move forward.
In the meantime, one reader mentioned on our round window post that round mirrors can achieve a similar visual effect for anyone who doesn’t want to install a circular window. Great point. Round mirrors are one of my favorite accessories: they add a soft, circular shape, reflect light, and create visual interest in a room.
Full disclosure: I have a collection of mirrors—many of them round—leaning against walls, waiting for the renovation to finish so I can hang them. Today I wanted to share a roundup of round mirror inspiration and ideas for how a mirror can change the feel of a space almost as dramatically as a round window.
