I’m a putterer.
I enjoy arranging and adjusting small details around the house—nesting, fluffing, polishing, and moving things just slightly until they feel right. It’s a relaxing habit for me, almost therapeutic. Rather than tackling a large renovation, these small changes give me a quick lift and a sense of accomplishment whenever I need one.
I’m still adjusting to having a baker’s rack in my dining room after the recent switch with the dresser that used to be here. That dresser is now in the family room; I’ll share an update on that space soon. I tend to juggle several projects at once, and some updates take a little longer to show you—but I promise they’re coming.
The arrangement on the baker’s rack hasn’t changed dramatically since last month, but I did bring out a few more white dishes and added white pitchers I had removed from the mantel when I refreshed it for spring. I placed apples under the glass dome and tucked in a bright bouquet to introduce a touch of sunshine to the display.
I considered changing the word on the chalkboard, but my chalk pen decided not to cooperate, so the board stays as is for now.

Thinking back to earlier posts, I’m reminded of how long I’ve enjoyed this simple pastime and how satisfying those tiny, thoughtful edits can be.
