DIY Monogram Wreath Workshop + Giveaway Guide

DIY Monogram Wreath

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot.

Yall — whispered in my best, wish-I-was-a-Southern-girl drawl — I’m not naturally confident with power tools. When The Home Depot invited me to try something outside my comfort zone, I admit I hesitated. I could have said no, panicked, or found someone else to do it for me.

But blogging has taught me that saying yes to a scary challenge is often how you grow, learn new skills, and gain a real sense of accomplishment.

The Home Depot invited me to participate in a Do-It-Herself Workshop and asked me to design and build my own monogram wreath — with power tools. I was honest about my limited skills and my nerves, but they didn’t back away. They believed I could do it and even invited me to co-lead a workshop at a nearby store.

The Home Depot has expanded its Do-It-Herself Workshops to more locations because they want to make DIY approachable for everyone. They were confident enough in their program to ask me to lead a session, and I’ll be making a wreath to share with you online as part of the process.

Can I pull this off?

Will my monogram look like an M?

Will I survive without losing any fingers and keep blogging?

Stay tuned to find out.

You can register online for a local Do-It-Herself Workshop at your local Home Depot store. If you’re near Seattle, I’ll be co-hosting the November 21 workshop at 6:30 PM PST in Tacoma (Store 4701, 7050 Tacoma Mall Blvd, Tacoma, WA 98409). If you want to make a monogram wreath and hang out that evening, I’d love to see you. If I can do this, you can too.
