Ready for some spring cleaning? My friend Tsh is launching a timely project this week called Project Simplify, a focused effort to tackle household clutter and refresh your home for the season. Spring really is on its way—the first day of spring is just a couple of weeks away—so this is the perfect moment to get organized.
Tsh is the author of Organized Simplicity and has plenty of practical advice for simplifying daily life and reducing clutter. Her experience and approach make her an excellent guide for anyone who wants to simplify their routines and reclaim their space.
In a recent interview she described how living abroad helped shape her outlook on simplicity and conscious living, which informs much of the advice she offers for decluttering and organizing.
How Project Simplify works: Each Monday for five weeks a new clutter “hot spot” will be announced. Participants have the week to organize that area of their home, then share before-and-after photos on Friday. The structure makes the project manageable and helps build momentum by focusing on one area at a time.
If you want to participate, check the host’s blog for details and the weekly challenges. The plan is designed to be flexible: work at your own pace, adapt tasks to fit your home, and share progress when you’re ready.
I’ll be joining the project and sharing my before-and-after photos each Friday. I hope you’ll take on the hot spots with me and enjoy the benefits of a simpler, more organized home.
What are your clutter hotspots?
Think about the areas that consistently collect clutter in your home—entryways, kitchen counters, junk drawers, mail piles, or paper zones. Pick one hotspot to start with this week and set a clear goal: sort, purge, and create a simple system to prevent clutter from returning. Small, consistent steps make a big difference over time.
