Every year around this time it sneaks up on me: Christmas is only about ten weeks away. I always find myself wondering how it arrived so quickly.
Anyone else suddenly realizing they aren’t ready?
(Or are you the kind of person who plans months in advance?)
Before Christmas comes Thanksgiving, and this year I’m hosting dinner at my house. Once I realized how fast the holidays are approaching and how little time I have to prepare, I dove into online shopping for useful and festive items for the home and the table.
That led me to these charming animal-themed baking pieces — measuring cups, measuring spoons, and a pie plate. Aren’t they delightful? I’ve always been partial to quirky animal designs and playful kitchenware, even though I don’t bake as often as I’d like. I also found some festive spatulas that are too cute to resist.
*Update* — There are even more pieces I hadn’t noticed at first: tea towels, mugs, monogram mugs, an oven mitt, an apron, juice glasses, a serving platter, a creamer, a sugar pot, a tea set, and a cookie jar. I’m kind of obsessed with the collection.
All of a sudden I’m even more excited for Christmas.
