One of the things I’m most looking forward to once the larger, construction-oriented projects around our house are finished is tackling smaller creative endeavors. These smaller projects will help bring personality, warmth and memories into our freshly updated rooms.
I’m thrilled that almost every wall in our home will have been repainted in the last year or two — that old SWINE color never inspired me. Having freshly painted walls gives me a clean starting point to personalize the space with meaningful accessories, furnishings, photos and handmade touches. I’m so excited for this next phase!
My approach to home decor is simple: when life inspires home, our home inspires life. Bringing our own creativity and story into a space makes it truly ours. When we fill our walls with special items and art, our home becomes a reflection of who we are.

I love discovering other bloggers who celebrate an authentic, personal approach to decorating and who inspire others to make homes that feel lived-in and loved. I’ve featured the creative work of Jamin and Ashley Mills of The Handmade Home many times. Their projects — from curtains and a tree house to kitchen makeovers and chalkboard ideas — continually inspire me.
Clearly their blog inspires me.
The way they display family photos in handmade and painted frames, and how they fill their walls with thoughtful, handmade items, is exactly the kind of inspiration I’m after. So when I learned they put together an ebook called Handmade Walls, featuring 22 projects you can create for your own home, I was excited to dive in.

The projects in this ebook are charming and practical. Each project includes clear instructions and photos, along with helpful tips on paint colors and supplies. Whether you want to create unique frames, wall groupings, or other handmade decor, the book breaks down the steps so you can reproduce the looks in your own home.
Many of these ideas would also make lovely, thoughtful handmade gifts for the holidays.

Handmade Walls contains 22 projects across more than 250 pages filled with inspiration, step-by-step plans and photos to help you bring handmade pieces into your space. The ebook takes a realistic, user-friendly approach to crafting beautiful wall decor and is offered as an easy-to-use PDF for $9.95 — an accessible option for anyone wanting to personalize their home.
If you’d like to start creating handmade walls in your own home, consider checking out the ebook Handmade Walls. Try the projects, enjoy the process, and let me know if you make any of them — I’d love to hear about your results!
I enjoy recommending books, ebooks and blogs I think my readers will love. The links in this post to the ebook are affiliate links, and my praise for this lovely book is genuine. Thank you for supporting bloggers!
