Here are a few recent cell phone snapshots from the last couple of weeks…
We finally had time to make our Christmas cookies.

My youngest daughter made homemade granola using her sister’s recipe — so tasty!

We’ve been cozying up by the fire. These are our fancy stocking holders, though the stockings aren’t on them yet.

We’ve been sleeping in and lounging around, enjoying the slow days.

We hosted our annual Awkward Family Photo and ugly Christmas sweater party at church. Everyone shows up in their most ridiculous holiday outfits and we set up a little photo area — it’s always a blast.

We’re making Mason jar candles filled with Epsom salts to give out at our Christmas Eve service.

I brought my orange tree indoors for the winter, placing it in a bright bathroom corner under a skylight. It’s thriving and the blossoms perfume the bathroom and bedroom — I wish this were a scratch-and-sniff post so you could enjoy the scent.

I received a delightful Secret Santa gift — I’m excited to curl up by the fire and savor the pages.

Blankets have been in heavy use lately; it’s been cold, and we’re taking every opportunity to snuggle up.

We’ve still been getting out for walks. Even when it’s a bit nippy, the sunny days have been beautiful.

We’re also taking time to slow down and remember the true meaning of the season.
Well, most of us are slowing down.
Merry Christmas to you all — I count you among my many blessings.
